About a year ago, German trance legend Paul van Dyk was playing at ASOT in Utrecht when a horrible accident happened. Paul fell through a gap in the side of the stage and sustained a bad back injury, cracking one of his vertebrae. He is now speaking about his recovery in a new post on Twitter:
One year ago, the emergency unit and intensive care team from UMC Utrecht saved my life…………..I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who fought for me, prayed for me and sent positive energy.
After news of his injury, many questioned if he would be able to ever perform again, as back injuries are very crucial to a person’s ability to stand and walk. Months after going to the hospital, he announced he would be returning to DJing in May with a group of shows at Cream Ibiza. You can check out his full statement below.
