1

Dimitri de Wit, known as the former manager for Tiësto and a huge contributor to dance music, has unfortunately passed away at the age of 51. The former DJ-producer and CEO of Twenty4Seven lost his heavy battle with pancreatic cancer; he was diagnosed in the first week of June.

Despite his attempts to care for the disease, Dimitri de Wit was unable to maintain the disease. According to a Facebook post shared by Black Hole Recordings, the cancer was too aggressive to maintain.

Born in Breda, Netherlands, Dimitri de Wit began his influence in the dance music scene as a DJ named DJ Le Blanc. In the ’80s, he would organize secret house parties and later became a resident DJ for Premier nightclub.

After taking a small hiatus at the end of his residency, the dance music contributor began to organize parties and gained a new residency at Spock. He was eventually noticed by Grove Lounge, which later led to a partnership with Black Hole Recordings.

Dimitri De Wit eventually became the head of A&R for Black Hole Recordings in 2002. This led him to manage many incredible artists, including Tiësto.

In 2008, the former Tiësto manager began his own international and management agency, becoming the CEO of Twenty4Seven Management. The company has managed acclaimed artists such as Ferry Corsten. Aly & Fila, Giuseppe Ottaviani, John O’Callaghan, and Gabriel & Dresden.
